CAPTIVE INSURANCE SOFTWARE

Claims Software for the Losses Your Captive Funds

VCA ClaimsCore is where a captive's claims are worked or watched. Handle them in house, or give your team its own seat on the claims a TPA handles, and the reserves, payments and recoveries sit on each claim either way.

ADD-ON: CLAIMSAI

ClaimsAI by VCA, Inside the Claim

ClaimsAI by VCA works inside one claim at a time, with four capabilities: Documents, Chat, Standing Checks and First Notice. It reads what is on the claim, summarizes what matters and drafts for review. It never sets a reserve, approves a payment or decides a claim.

ClaimsAI does not update anything in the claim. What it drafts reaches the claim only when a person copies it there. How ClaimsAI Works →

THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES

Your captive funds the losses, so the questions land with you: what is reserved, what has been paid, what has come back, and who moved the number. Each answer should start at the claim.

WHAT A CAPTIVE RUNS ON VCA

The claim carries the numbers your board asks about

VCA ClaimsCore is the claims platform, complete on its own. VCA Insights and ClientPortal are add-ons your captive takes when it needs them.

  • Set Up for the Risks You WriteEach loss type gets its own tabs and fields in your terminology, and your team sets statuses, diaries, alerts and security settings in the admin console, without a developer.Configured by Loss Type →

WHY VCA

Why Captives Choose VCA

A captive is judged on the losses it funds. Each reason below is about seeing them clearly, sooner, and without replacing what already runs.

  • Depth of Claims ExpertiseWe know claims from every seat we work with, including the captive's: the losses it funds, the reserves its board asks about, and the TPA desk its claims may sit on. Several client relationships have run longer than ten years. Why VCA →
  • Speed of ImplementationDiscovery comes first: VCA maps how your captive's claims move, in house or through a TPA, before anything is configured. Then you are live in weeks, not years. How Implementation Works →
  • Capital EfficiencyClaimsCore on its own runs your captive's claims. VCA Insights, ClientPortal and DataBridge are add-ons you take when that job comes up, beside the systems you already run.How Pricing Works →

Questions Captives Ask About Claims Software

What is captive insurance software?

Claims software a captive uses for the claims it funds: reserves, payments, recoveries and authority limits recorded on each claim, and reporting drawn from those same claims. On VCA it is VCA ClaimsCore, with add-ons such as VCA Insights for reporting and ClientPortal for the people the captive reports to.

A TPA handles our captive's claims. Can we still use VCA?

Yes. Your team gets its own seat in its own VCA account. Your TPA can work those claims as a claims team inside your account, or keep its own system, and which claim data reaches your account is agreed with you and your TPA in discovery.

Does VCA handle workers' compensation claims?

No. VCA supports every property and casualty line of business: personal and commercial lines, casualty, property, specialty and in-house programs. Not workers' compensation or health benefits claims.

How is our captive's claims data protected?

Access in VCA ClaimsCore follows the permissions you set, down to individual statuses and actions, with a record of who did what and when, and your company can require multi-factor authentication at sign-in. Client data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and VCA supports single sign-on (SSO). VCA holds SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, examined by Prescient Assurance.

How long does implementation take?

Every VCA implementation starts with discovery: VCA maps how your claims move, including authority levels, reporting obligations and any handoffs to a TPA, before anything is configured. On a Standard License, configured to your workflows, VCA ClaimsCore is live in 3 to 4 weeks; an Enterprise License deployment takes 8 to 16 weeks.
