Claims Software for Law Firms Handling Claims for Clients

Your firm handles claims on its clients' behalf, and each client expects them worked to its own instructions, with counsel and costs on the record. VCA ClaimsCore sets each client up once and carries its rules into every claim your team opens.

Every property and casualty line. Not workers' compensation or health benefits.

THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES

A firm that handles claims for clients carries two sets of obligations at once: the instructions each client gives it, and the record any claims operation has to keep. When each client's claims live in their own folders and spreadsheets, both are hard to show on demand.

CLAIMS HANDLED FOR CLIENTS

Each Client on Its Own Terms

A firm that handles claims on its clients' behalf runs them the way a TPA does, on the same VCA ClaimsCore.

Each client is set up once with its own workflows, authority limits and reporting.

WHY VCA

Why Law Firms Choose VCA

The case is the same one any claims operation weighs: whether the vendor knows the work, how soon the claims run on it, and how much else has to change.

  • Depth of Claims ExpertiseBuilt from the claim up, by an adjuster, for the people who work the claim. VCA has been building claims software for more than 20 years. Why VCA →
  • Speed of ImplementationDiscovery comes first, so nothing is configured until your clients' instructions are understood. Then the claims run on VCA in weeks.
  • Capital EfficiencyThe claims layer goes in beside the systems your firm already runs, and claim financials can go on to Intuit QuickBooks, Sage or Bill.com.

Questions Law Firms Ask

Can a law firm run the claims it handles for clients on VCA?

Yes. A law firm that handles claims on its clients' behalf runs them on VCA ClaimsCore the way a TPA does: each client set up with its own profile, workflows, authority limits and reporting, and every claim handled for that client carrying its rules.

How does VCA record litigated claims?

In VCA ClaimsCore, Litigation and Defence flags mark the claims that need special handling and make them searchable. Defense counsel and other attorneys are attached to the claim as contacts, and payments to attorneys are recorded on the claim.

Can one client see another client's claims?

No. On VCA, one client's claims can't be seen in another client's views or reports.

Can our clients see the claims we handle for them?

Yes, with ClientPortal, an add-on to VCA ClaimsCore. Each client gets a branded login to the claims that concern it, and access is set by company, by claim and by tab. Notes marked Internal and non-billable time stay off the portal, and a document or report shows there only when it is flagged for it.

Does VCA keep a record of who did what on each claim?

Yes. VCA ClaimsCore sets permissions down to individual statuses and actions and keeps a record of who did what and when. Notes and documents are timestamped on the claim, and email sent from the claim is logged to it.

How long does it take a law firm to go live on VCA?

Every implementation starts with discovery: VCA maps how your claims actually move, including each client's authority levels and reporting obligations, before anything is configured. A Standard License deployment configured to your workflows is live in 3 to 4 weeks, and an Enterprise License deployment, with integrations or migrated claim history, takes 8 to 16 weeks. Your band is scoped at quote.
