WHY VCA

We know claims, from every seat we work with

VCA ClaimsCore is claims management software for adjusting firms, TPAs, MGAs and carriers, and for DCAs and coverholders in the Lloyd's market: the claims layer beside the systems you already run, live in weeks, not years.

WHY WE EXIST

You should not have to become someone else's shape

An operation's way of working usually took years to get right. VCA's rule is to leave it intact and configure with restraint: match what the work needs, skip the rest, add later.

It shows up in small places. A firm handling livestock claims got a custom Livestock tab, so a horse is never filed as a generic loss.

Claims shouldn't be your afterthought. It's the relationship with the insured. It's about a positive outcome. Claims are everything.

WHAT A CLAIM RESTORES

  • Safety"I can recover from this."
  • Control"I know what happens next."
  • StabilityHome, transportation, income, business operations, daily routine.
  • TrustThat the promise made when the policy was purchased will be honored.
  • DignityBeing treated fairly and respectfully when someone may already feel vulnerable.
  • Forward MotionThe ability to stop dealing with the loss and get back to living or working.

WHY OPERATIONS CHOOSE VCA

Vendors who build suites go wide in software. VCA goes deep in claims.

  • Depth of Claims Expertise

Built from the claim up, by an adjuster, for the people who work the claim. Each loss type opens with its own tabs and fields, in your terminology. Two decades of claims logic are built into VCA, learned one file at a time from the people who work them. No new entrant starts with that, and no AI model can infer it.

Both Markets, One Platform

Lloyd's-Market Reporting
VCA has served the Lloyd's market for more than a decade. Lloyd's-market reporting is graded, audited, and evidenced with data, and a platform that clears it handles a domestic book's audits and client reviews.
A Lloyd's Book and a Domestic Book
A TPA, DCA or managing agent can run a Lloyd's book and a domestic book on the same VCA ClaimsCore, without a second system.

Questions a Shortlist Asks

Where is VCA the wrong choice?

In three situations, each set out on the Why Not VCA page: books led by workers' compensation or health benefits, which VCA does not support; a whole core replaced over several years, which is a different purchase; and a new policy administration system, since PolicyConnect brings policy data onto the claim from the one you already run.

Does VCA take on claims work itself?

No. VCA makes claims management software and only claims management software, with no adjusting arm, no TPA division and no claims services business. Being a pure claims company, with no services arm competing with the people it serves, lets VCA stay on their side of the table.

Can we get our claims data out of VCA?

While you are a client, DataBridge, an add-on, sends your claims data out to your own data warehouse or BI tool on a schedule you set, as often as hourly, and only changes are pushed. For the end of an agreement, ask for the format, the timeline and the cost of returning your claims data in writing, and put the same question to every vendor you compare.

How does a VCA implementation run?

In five phases: discovery, configuration, data migration, training and go-live. Nothing is configured until discovery has mapped how your claims actually move: intake sources, assignment rules, authority levels, reporting obligations and the handoffs between teams and partners.

Is VCA a suite with a claims module?

No. VCA is a claims platform. VCA ClaimsCore runs the claim, complete on its own. Add-ons (InsuredConnect, PolicyConnect, ClientPortal, DataBridge, VCA Insights, ClaimsPay, LloydsConnect and ClaimsAI) each do one job on that same platform. ClaimsAI arrives by the end of 2026.

Where does AI fit?

Inside the claim. ClaimsAI, an add-on, finds, summarizes, drafts and surfaces what matters in a claim; the claims professional decides, approves, sets reserves and authorizes payments. Nothing it produces enters the claim record until a person accepts it, and every draft is attributed and written to the activity log. ClaimsAI arrives by the end of 2026.

Has VCA been independently examined?

Yes. Prescient Assurance examined VCA for SOC 1 and SOC 2, Type 1 and Type 2 for each, and VCA holds the reports.

Who runs VCA?

John Varghese is CEO and Ilda Cairns is Chief Product Officer. VCA Software is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and Bolton, Ontario.
