POLICY SYSTEM INTEGRATION · ADDED TO VCA CLAIMSCORE
PolicyConnect
PolicyConnect is an add-on to VCA ClaimsCore that brings coverage from your policy system onto the claim, so adjusters read limits, deductibles and policy dates where they work.

THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES
On most claims desks, coverage lives in a separate policy or underwriting system. Someone types limits, deductibles and policy dates into the claim by hand, and every field typed twice is a chance for the claim and the policy to disagree.
HOW IT CONNECTS
What Connecting Takes
PolicyConnect reads from the policy system you already run and writes onto the claim your adjusters work.
- Discovery, Then ConfigurationNothing is connected until VCA has mapped how your claims move. The field mapping below is configured after that, with your team. How Implementation Works →

WHAT IT DOES
Where It Lands, and When It Is Checked
Policy detail lands on the claim's Coverage tab, and PolicyConnect checks terms, deductibles and effective dates against it at first notice, during handling and before payment.

WHY IT MATTERS
Coverage on the Claim From First Notice
What the adjuster sees from first notice, and what the claims leader can stand behind at payment.
Coverage Read on Day One
The adjuster opens the claim with limits, deductibles and policy dates on it, so reserves and payments start from the policy as written.
No Retyping at Intake
A mapped field, such as the policy number or the deductible, comes from the policy system, so there is no intake copy of it to mistype.
Coverage From the System of Record
The coverage an adjuster reads on the claim is sourced from the policy system underwriting keeps.
Checked Before It Is Paid
Before a payment goes out, it is checked against the terms and deductible held in the policy system.

WHY VCA
Why MGAs and Carriers Choose VCA
Your policy system holds the policy. VCA goes deep in claims, and PolicyConnect puts the coverage where the claim is worked.
- Depth of Claims ExpertiseBuilt from the claim up, by an adjuster, so coverage sits on the claim where it is read before a reserve is set.Why VCA →
- Speed of ImplementationDiscovery first, so the connection is scoped before it is built. File handlers typically learn the platform in about 30 minutes, because VCA sticks to the essentials of claims.
- Capital EfficiencyVCA runs the claims beside the policy system you keep, at a fraction of the cost of a core replacement.
Questions About PolicyConnect
What is PolicyConnect?
PolicyConnect is the VCA ClaimsCore add-on that brings policy detail from your policy administration or underwriting system onto the claim: policyholder details, policy number, bound and expiry dates, and specified coverages with their limits and deductibles.
Will PolicyConnect work with our policy system?
PolicyConnect works with modern, legacy and custom policy administration and underwriting systems. Modern systems connect through REST APIs and webhooks, and legacy systems through scheduled batch, flat-file or secure file transfer. Which fields sync and which checks apply are configured per program and line of business.
How current is the policy detail on the claim?
Policy detail arrives at first notice and keeps syncing as the claim is handled, on a cadence configured per program and line of business. Legacy connections sync on the schedule set for the batch or file transfer.
How long does connecting our policy system take?
PolicyConnect is connected as part of your VCA implementation, which opens with discovery: before anything is configured, VCA maps how your claims move. Carriers plan on the Carrier License: 12 weeks to 6 months. An Enterprise License deployment runs 8 to 16 weeks.
Who does the connection work?
Your IT team joins where the policy system connects, and the people who work the claims shape the rest of the configuration.
Which way does data move, and what stays in our hands?
Policy data moves in: PolicyConnect brings policy detail from your policy system onto the claim, and the policy itself stays in your policy system. Claims data going out, into your own data warehouse or BI tool on a schedule you set, is DataBridge, a separate add-on. For the end of any agreement, ask for the format, the timeline and the cost of returning your claims data in writing, and put the same question to every vendor you compare.
Who does not need PolicyConnect?
Operations whose policy detail arrives with the assignment. VCA's typical packages for independent adjusting firms and TPAs leave PolicyConnect out, and MGAs, carriers and coverholders, who hold the policy system, are the ones who usually add it. VCA ClaimsCore is complete on its own, so PolicyConnect can be added later.
Who uses PolicyConnect?
Adjusters, claims handlers and admin staff, who see coverage on the claim, and technical staff who manage the sync. It is typically brought in by CIOs and IT leaders at MGAs and carriers, heads of claims or data integration, and the teams managing policy-system integrations.
